Alvin Ferrell "Bud" Bishop

Mr. Alvin Ferrell (Bud) Bishop, age 88, of 407 Daniel Road, died Tuesday Morning, October 12th, at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Thursday Afternoon, October 14th, at 2 o'clock in the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in Thomaston. Rev. Keith Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bishop was a native of Meriwether County. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Bishop retired in 1986 as a self-employed auto mechanic, having owned Bishop's Garage. He was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church in LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Bishop and Maude Allen Bishop; his children, Alvin Jackson Bishop, Alvin Ferrell Bishop, Jr., and Alan (Bo) Bishop, and one grandchild. Mr. Bishop is survived by: His wife - Mrs. Edna Gilbert Bishop; 9 children - Loretta Bishop (Whit) Lackey, Norma Fuller (Anthony) Hauck, Durward Wade (Gwen) Fuller, Cathy Fuller (Keith) Johnson, Tony Bishop, Terry (Helen) Bishop,Angela Kay (Randy) Payton, Patricia Annette (Craig) Casteel, and Pamela (Wesley) Wilson; 5 sisters - Lottie Childree, Jeanette Crook, Flora Jean Adcock, Betty Ann Boggs, and Mavis Cline. 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren also survive. The family will receice friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock Wednesday Night.
