Ann Garner

Mrs. Ann Garner, 72, of Thomaston, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at Spalding Regional Hospital. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 5, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mrs. Garner, a daughter of the late Willie James Smith and Sara Frances Selph Smith, was born August 20, 1943, in Columbus, GA. She had been employed by Thomaston Mills, the WIlliam Carter Company, and Upson Regional Medical Center where she worked as a Dietary Aide. Mrs. Garner attended East Thomaston Baptist Church. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Ellerbee, and a son, Bobby Garner. Survivors include a daughter, Peggie McKenzie of Gay, GA; a son, Dale Garner; a son-in-law, Terry Ellerbee, of Thomaston; one brother, Roy (Connie) Smith of Sandersville, GA; seven grandchildren: Courtney Ellerbee of Thomaston; Chandler Dean of Savannah; Jonathan Ellerbee of Thomaston; Tiffany Davis of Gay; C.J. Garner of Thomaston; Kyle Hortman of Thomaston; and Brandon Davis of Bremen. Five great grandchildren also survive.
