Anne Butts Ellerbee

April 4, 1928 — September 8, 2009

Mrs. Ellerbee was a life-long resident of Upson County, a daughter of the late Walter B. Butts and Julia Abernathy Butts. She was employed briefly by the Veterans Services Department, but was primarily a homemaker. Mrs. Ellerbee was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Thurston Homemakers Club and the Thurston Community Club. Mrs. Ellerbee was also an enthusiastic volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Ellerbee, Jr. Mrs. Ellerbee is survived by two daughters, Angeline (Michael) Williams of Loganville and Sharon (Alan) Connell, Thomaston; a son, William T. (Len) Ellerbee, III, of Watkinsville; two brothers, Ray Butts of Atlanta and James E. 'Jim' (Ann) Butts of Thomaston; a sister, Jane (Steve) Collins of Thomaston; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 3133 Crest Highway, Thomaston, Ga. 30286 or the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
