Barbara Ann Stowe Huckaby

Mrs. Huckaby was born in Atlanta, a daughter of the late Robert Stowe and Dorothy Plaster Stowe. She was a long time homemaker and Mom. After her children grew up and moved away, she worked in the banking business in the Mortgage Department of the United Bank. She was also the City Clerk of Meansville, as well as a City Council member. She was a long time member of the Pike County Lions Club. Mrs. Huckaby was a member of the Life Springs United Methodist Church. Mrs. Huckaby is survived by a daughter, Sandy (Ronald) Mitchell of Meansville; two sons, Scott (Glenda) Huckaby of Meansville and Brent (Evalina) Huckaby of Griffin; a sister, Janice (Marty Reardon) Cambron of Sharpsburg; and three granddaughters, Georgie Huckaby and Catherine Huckaby of Meansville, and Chloe Huckaby of Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Thomas Huckaby.
