Betty Collins Hewett

Mrs. Betty Collins Hewett, age 82, of 222 Marlon Street, died Sunday Afternoon at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hewett was a native of Upson County. She was a 1946 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and attended Marsh Business College in Atlanta. She retired from Collins Grocery where she was a meat packer and cashier. Mrs. Hewett was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church and was active in the Woodmen of the World for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy A. Hewett. Mrs. Hewett is survived by: 2 Daughters - Mrs. Marcia Hewett Brookins and Mrs. Melinda Hewett (Ronnie) Taylor, both of Thomaston ; 2 grandsons - Mr. Andy Taylor, of Atlanta; and Mr. David Taylor, of Thomaston; Great-Granddaughter - Trinity Jade Taylor, of Thomaston;
