Betty Sue Heaton Birdsong

Mrs. Betty Sue Heaton Birdson, 82, formerly of 103 Avenue J, Thomaston, died Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Birdsong was a life-long resident of Thomaston and Upson County. She was a licensed practical nurse and was employed by Upson Regional Medical Center for 27 years. She also was employed for many years as an office nurse for the late Dr. T. A. Sappington, the late Dr. Norman Gardner and Dr. Spencer Price. Mrs. Birdsong was a member of the Thomaston Church of God. She is survived by her daughter, Jacque Nix and her son, Mark (Dawn) Birdsong, both of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Michelle (Sean) Curry and Chris (Angie) Nix, both of Thomaston and Jeremy Nix of Atlanta; and six great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held on Friday, January 27th, 2012 in Upson Memorial Gardens.
