Carole Faye Norris Martin was born March 28, 1942 in Thomaston Georgia to Mary Frances Sanford Norris and Paul Claxton Norris and died December 14, 2020 (also in Thomaston). Carole’s devotion to family and her belief in God sustained her during her struggle with lung cancer. She is survived by her daughter Angela Denise Martin Aucoin (Steve), her granddaughter Madison Paige Aucoin Rafus (Josh), her brothers Sanford Claxton Norris and Timothy Paul Norris (Robin), and her nephews Matt Norris (Bethany) and Andy Landers (Ashley); great nieces Allie Norris, Lindsay Norris, Audrey Norris and Kaylee Landers; great nephews Garrett Norris and Levi Landers. She was predeceased by her infant son Harry F. Martin, Jr. and her parents Paul and Mary Norris. Carole grew up in East Thomaston and attended elementary school there. She graduated from Robert E. Carole enjoyed spending time with her daughter Angela, son-in-law Steve Aucoin and granddaughter Madison Aucoin Rafus. She also enjoyed fishing and camping with her long-time friend and fellow Upson Tech instructor Diane Burgess. Carole was a devoted member of First Baptist Church. She belonged to the Bonoth Ladies Sunday School class and was the class secretary. Carole served tirelessly wherever she was needed (Fellowship suppers, Compassion Committee, Vacation Bible School, House of Care and Prime Timers secretary). Carole was very involved with the Community Care Thrift Store as a volunteer and as President of the Board of Directors. Helping others was a calling Carole answered faithfully.
