Cecil Griffin Sartain

December 4, 1917 — July 15, 2009

Mrs. Sartain was born on December 4, 1917 in Concord, GA., to William Joseph Griffin and Dicie Shepherd Griffin. She was a retired assistant clerk for the Fulton County Clerk of Court, having worked there for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Sartain, sisters Jessie Lee McCrary, Nell Williams, Hazel Hawkins, and Mattie Kersey; and brothers, J. B. Griffin, Thomas Griffin, and Bryan Griffin. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Kerry and Gail Sartain of Acworth and John and Debby Sartain of Powder Springs; three grandchildren, Dana Grier of Dallas, Brandon Sartain of Kennesaw and Adam Sartain of Powder Springs, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
