Cynthia Ellen Glover "Cindy" Smith

Mrs. Smith was a native of Blakely, GA., but had lived in Upson County since childhood. She began working in banking with the C & S Bank in Thomaston, and also worked at Rogers Cash and Carry. Mrs. Smith then worked with her husband, Mark Smith, at Tire and Auto Master in Zebulon. In 2001 she purchased H & R Block franchise in Barnesville, and in 2006 opened a second office in Zebulon. Mrs. Smith graduated from Flint River Technical School in 1997 and was the Valedictorian of her graduating class. Mrs. Smith served as a Brownie Scout Troop Leader in Thomaston. She was also a passionate reader and enjoyed vacationing at the beach, camping, and spending time outdoors. She was a member of Kings Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Mark Smith of Thomaston, her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Jack Martin of Bristow, OK; her parents, Rev. and Mrs. William Braxton 'Buck' Glover, Sr., of Warner Robins; two sisters, Cecelia (Jimmy) Brazell of Warner Robins and Pamela Loyd of Perry; two brothers, William (Jean) Braxton Glover, Jr., and Brian Glover, both of Warner Robins; and several nieces and nephews.
