David Windham Ellerbee

Mr. David Windham Ellerbee, 68, of Thomaston, died Sunday evening, June 14, 2015, at Golden Living Center. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher Day Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Morgan officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Hendricks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family of Mr. Ellerbee will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Ellerbee, a native Upsonian, was a graphic designer. He served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division in Viet Nam. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantry Badge. Mr. Ellerbee was preceded in death by a brother, William M. 'Mickey' Ellerbee. Survivors include a daughter, Wendi Brook Ellerbee of Douglasville, GA. ; two sisters: Kay E. Darsey of Thomaston and Barbara Grace of Douglasville, GA; and a brother, Carey Ellerbee of Thomaston. One granddaughter also survives. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
