Donald Ray Bowles

Mr. Donald Ray Bowles, 74, of Thomaston, died Monday, November 17th, 2014 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Funeral services for Mr. Bowles will be held on Friday, November 21st, 2014 at 2 pm at East Thomaston Baptist Church. Rev. Joey Smith will officiate and burial will follow in South View Cemetery. Mr. Bowles was a native of Thomaston, born on September 16th, 1940. He was the son of the late Robert 'Jack' Bowles and Louise Elrod Bowles. He served his country in the U. S. Army, including service during the Vietnam conflict from 1966 to 1968. Until his retirement Mr. Bowles was employed in the purchasing department of Georgia Public Television. He was a member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. Mr. Bowles is survived by his wife, Rhonda D. Bowles; a daughter, Leah (Jeff) Banford of Crested Butte, CO; a son, Brad (Dee) Wrisley of Rome; a sister, Shari B. (Chat) Daniel of Milledgeville; and two grandchildren, Harrison and Morgan Wrisley, both of Rome. The family of Mr. Bowles will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 until 7 pm.
