Dr. Janet A. Mcneely

Dr. Janet A. McNeely, age 76, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at the McCall Hospice in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Dr. McNeely was preceded in death by her parents, W. E. and Margaret McNeely. She is survived by step-mother, Mary Ellen Starling McNeely, Thomaston ; sister, Dr Annette Young, Easley, South Carolina; brother, Tom (Susan) McNeely, Conyers, Georgia. She is survived by 7 nieces and nephews, and 19 grand nieces and nephews. Dr. McNeely is a graduate of R. E. Lee Institute and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She retired after 40 years of practice in Thomaston. Since her retirement, she raised sheep and goats, drove the cancer car and volunteered at Jarrell Plantaton demonstrating her hobby of spinning wool. Dr. McNeely is a long -time member of Fellowship Baptist Church. A private family gathering will celebrate Janet's life at a later date.
