Elizabeth Hunt Crider

Mrs. Betty Hunt Crider, 81, of Thomaston and formerly of Griffin, died Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 at Providence Health Care. Mrs. Crider was born in Griffin on September 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Edna Bartholomew Hunt and Dallas Hunt, Jr. She was a 1951 graduate of Sullins College of Bristol, TN, and married Richard L. Crider in 1957. Mrs. Crider is survived by her daughter, Anna Crider Gore of Columbus, her son, Richard L. Crider, Jr.; a brother, F. D. 'Sonny' Hunt of Griffin; a sister, Margaret Hunt Denny of Atlanta; and two grandsons, Hunter Gore of Columbus and Ben Gore of Thomaston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Crider, Sr., and a sister, Jean Hunt Newton. In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Crider was cremated. Plans for a graveside memorial service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, will be announced later.
