A 1942 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, she was born April 18, 1925, in Macon County, GA, and the family moved to Thomaston, GA, later that year. She was a retired Lab Technician for Thomaston Mills, where she was employed for 50 years. She was a member of the R. E. Hightower Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron twice. Mrs. Eubanks was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John W. Eubanks, Jr., her parents James B. and Lois R. Smith, sisters Geneva Sharpe, Sarah Cameron and Margery Hoffman, one brother Dolphus Smith. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and Hal Roach, Statesboro; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron H. and Vickie Eubanks, Braselton; six grandchildren, Amy E. Sowders, Brooke M. Eubanks, Sarah R. Harrison, John A. Roach, Stephen S. Roach and Allison E. Johnson. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; two sisters Evelyn Rameriz, Yvonne Jordan; two brothers, James Smith and Marvis Smith; several cousins, nieces and nephews and her loving friend and caregiver, Sharon Canty.
