George Beutell Daniel

Mr. Daniel was born in Pike County, a son of the late George Buford Daniel and Ella Mae Butts Daniel. He grew up in Thomaston and was a 1942 graduate of R. E. Lee Institute. Mr. Daniel was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corps and served for three years during World War II. He was employed by the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Company for 43 years and was the purchasing manager at the time of his retirement. Mr. Daniel served as treasurer for the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Yatesville. He was also a member of the American Legion for 70 years. Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife, Dorothy H. Daniel; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Debra Daniel of Thomaston; and two grandsons, Christopher Daniel of Thomaston and Blake Lindsey of Lizella.
