Grady Melvin Pollard

Mr. Grady Melvin Pollard, 78, of Yatesville, died Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at his home. Mr. Pollard was born in Upson County on January 26th, 1934, a son of the late Grady Jackson Pollard and Beulah Mae Wilson Pollard. He served in the U. S. Force in Korea from 1953 through 1957. Mr. Pollard was a retired trucker and worked for many years with the Old Dominion Trucking Company. Mr. Pollard was a member of the St. Peter The Rock Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Ida Natividad Pollard; five daughters, Veronica (Donald) Stewart of Thomaston, Diana (Mark) Kendrick of Barnesville, Lisa (Mark) Pitts of Thomaston, Ellen and Pete of Temple, and Paula (Phillip) Gardzelewski of Magnolia, TX; two sons, Jim (Jennifer) Pollard of Byron and Milton Pollard of Odessa, TX; three sisters, Ina Mae Gregg of Thomaston, Annie Ruth Richey of Hawkinsville and Martha Hibler of Bedford, OK; three brothers, Floyd Pollard, Bennie Pollard and Henry Pollard, all of Thomaston; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
