Herman Hugh Renfroe

June 3, 1921 — October 11, 2012

Mr. Herman Hugh Renfroe died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Earl Harlow Center in Jacksonville, Florida after a long fight with heart disease. Mr. Renfroe was born and raised in Adrien, GA. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the Pacific campaign, then moved to Thomaston after the war to raise his family. He worked for B.F. Goodrich in the spinning department until his retirement. Mr. Renfroe enjoyed driving for local car dealers. He was a member of Silvertown Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He later moved to Jacksonville, FL for his remaining years. He had a great love for fishing, camping, and traveling. Survivors include his sons, Mr. Ronald and Vicki Renfroe of Cumming, Mr. Dennis and Amy Renfroe of Tavernier, Florida, Mr. Gary and Karen Renfroe of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Oscar and Dale Blanton of Eatonton, Mr. Stanley and Libby Blanton of Conyers, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
