Horace Edwin Bevel

Mr. Horace Edwin Bevel, 69, of Yatesville, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Atlanta. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Rock Springs Church in Milner. Dr. Benny Tate and Rev. John Wesley Long will officiate and burial will follow in The Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, August 26, from 6 until 8 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Bevel was born in Thomaston on January 7th, 1947, a son of the late George Leonard Bevel and Eunice Catherine Martin Bevel. He was a former resident of Sharpsburg, Grand Junction, CO, and Phoenix, AZ. He was a direct sales dealer for Townecraft Cookware. Mr. Bevel was a private pilot and also enjoyed playing tennis. He was a member of the Rock Springs Church in Milner. Mr. Bevel is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Lisa Bevel of Yatesville; two sisters, Bonnie (Steve) Maddox and Paula (Burt) Hammock, both of Thomaston; a brother, Richard (Suzanne) Bevel of Yalaha, FL; and a granddaughter, Jennifer (Ryan) Shurley of Yatesville.
