Jack Milton Hawkins died May 7th at the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital in Highlands, N.C. He was 74 years old. Dr. Hawkins was a graduate of Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. and Emory Medical School. He practiced psychiatry in Atlanta for 40 years and was a retired member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, as training and supervising Psychoanalyst with the Emory-Columbia program. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. Dr. Hawkins was a member of the Highlands Country Club and Peachtree Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Regina Trice Hawkins, and his children, Frankie Hawkins Hobbs, Jack Hawkins Jr., and Mark Hawkins, and his six granddaughters. A private graveside service will be held at Trice Cemetery in Thomaston, GA at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10. There will also be a Memorial Reception at Peachtree Golf Club in Atlanta from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
