James Frank Martin

October 23, 1929 — April 6, 2011

Mr. Martin was a life-long resident of Thomaston. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and later earned an associate degree from Gordon Jr. College in 1954. He was the owner and manager of Thomaston Office Equipment Company. He was a member of the Upper Room Fellowship Church. Mr. Martin is survived by two daughters, Jane (Reggie) Daniel of Thomaston and Kay (Donald) Mullin of Yatesville; a son, Mike (Donna) Martin of Thomaston; one sister, Betty Thompson of Fayetteville; three brothers, Emmett Eugene Martin, Jr., of Memphis, TN; Gary Winston Martin of Thomaston and Andrew Martin of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, Jilly (Dusty) Starling, Joy (Brian) Davison, Jessi (Brad) Thompson, Lindsey Philpott, Erika (Donny) Boyd, Rusty Daniel, Steve Martin, Laura (Chuck) Nicholson, Michelle (K. C.) Harmon, Beth Martin, Lauren Martin, Brandon (Ashley) Simmons, Ryan Simmons and Michael Martin; 23 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
