Jettie Pearl Rogers Gooden

August 10, 1925 — July 13, 2009

Mrs. Gooden was a native of Upson County, a daughter of the late Rufus Rogers and Ida Salter Rogers. She was a retired seamstress, having worked for many years for the William Carter Company. Mrs. Gooden attended the Grace Fellowship Church in Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Gooden. Mrs. Gooden is survived by four daughters, Nancy (Chuck) Woodard of Marietta, Rosland (Wayne) Webb and Denise (Glen) Brown of Meansville and Peggy (Ronnie) Perry of Thomaston; three sons, Rev. Larry (Carolyn) Gooden of Lyons, Rev. David (Kathy) Gooden of Griffin and Mayne (Debbie) Gooden of Molena; a sister, Omilee Hice of Columbus, a sister-in-law, Ruby Smoot of Thomaston; a special friend, Rev. Henry Vaughn; 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
