Jewell Imogene Winkles Yawn Whitworth

Mrs. Jewell Imogene Winkles Yawn 'Jean' Whitworth, , age 83, of Yatesville, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Whitworth was a native of Douglas County but had lived in Upson County for many years. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Thomaston Mills as a quality inspector and also in the payroll division. She later worked for the Flint Tech Council on Aging and was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star. Mrs. Whitworth was also a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Rufus A. Whitworth She is survived by two daughters, Debra Ann (Kenneth) Evans of Conyers and Wanda (Hoyt) Beaver of Thomaston; two sons, Bill Yawn of Yatesville and Richard (Alicia) Yawn of Princeton, NJ; four step daughters, Barbara, Bonnie, Linda, and Shirley; a sister, Jane Ellison of Mableton; three brothers, Talmadge Winkles of Thomaston, Frank Winkles of Tampa, FL, and Charles Winkles of Marietta; three grandchildren, Hoyt Beaver III of Kennesaw, Alicia (Mitchell) Ellerbee of Thomaston and Adam (Sharon) Maraman of McDonough; and four great grandchildren, Luke Beaver, Logan Ellerbee, Cory Ellerbee and Haley Ellerbee.
