Josephine Ellerbee

Mrs. Josephine Coolman Ellerbee, age 92, formerly of South Bethel Street, died Monday Night in Tifton. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday Afternoon at 4 o'clock in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Barber will officiate. Interment will be in South View Cemetery, with Pasley-Fletcher Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ellebee was a native of Delaware, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garvin Ellerbee, and her son, Mike Ellerbee. Mrs. Ellerbee was a secretary and bookkeeper for Richard Bridges and her late husband, Garvin Ellerbee. Mrs. Ellerbee was a member of First Baptist Church. She coordinated transportaton for the Cancer Car for over 30 years, and was honored by the Thomaston Sertoma Club as the recipient of the Service to Mankind Award in 2006. Mrs. Ellerbee is survived by: 1 daugher - Cheryl Ellerbee, of Tifton. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Cancer Car Fund.
