Katie Mae Huckaby Gilbert

Mrs. Katie Mae Huckaby GIlbert, 79, of Thomaston, died Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gilbert was the wife of Mr. Marvin McClinton 'Junior' Gilbert, who died on Thursday, March 14th, 2013. Mrs. Gilbert was a life-long resident of Upson County, a daughter of the late Lonnie Russell Huckaby and Annie Mae Sanders Huckaby. She was employed by the William Carter Company, the International Playtex Company, and at the time of her retirement she was a weaver for Thomaston Mills. She was a member of the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her four children, Joan G. Wisham of Pinellas Park, FL, Brenda Eubanks of Clearwater, FL, Donald (Judy) Gilbert of Thomaston, and David Gilbert; a brother, Ronnie (Frankie) Huckaby of Thomaston; two sisters, Rosa Lee Searcy of Winter Park, FL, and Betty (Pete) Fleming of Thomaston; one stepbrother, five stepsisters, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
