Mable Caldwell Watts

September 14, 1918 — December 13, 2011

Mrs. Watts was a native of Meriwether County but had lived in Thomaston for many years. Until her retirement she was employed by Thomaston Mills in the Spinning Department. Mrs. Watts was a member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gerry W. Ard of Thomaston and her son, Charles Leslie (Janet) Watts of Marietta; a brother, David (Wanda) Caldwell of Atlanta; two grandsons, Hank (Patsy) Curtis of Atlanta and Shannon Watts of Crystal Springs, MS; a granddaughter, Terry Colwell; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Joe Lee, Harvey, Elbert, Ray, Lanier, Theo, Douglas, John McLease (J.M.), and Woodroe Caldwell; her husband, Hayward V. Watts; a grandson, Chris Curtis; and her son-in-law, W. Donald Ard.
