Mrs. Mae Dell Duke Anthony, 93 of Meansville died Thursday afternoon in Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3, at 2:00 PM, in the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Pitts and Rev. Fred L. Herring officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour before the service. Mrs. Anthony was born to the late Woody Henry Duke and the late Lola Jane Osteen Duke in Madison, Morgan County, GA. She resided in Thomaston before moving to Pike County. She was a member of Meansville Baptist Church and a former member of the Baptist Tabernacle. After 34 years of employment with Martha Mills, she retired from Martha Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Melvin Anthony: sons, Sterling Wayne Anthony, Weldon Morris (Pete) Anthony, Kenneth Harold (Kenny) Anthony; sisters, Ruby Fuller, Lillian Pasley, Evelyn McGourik; brother, Woody Weldon Duke, half-brother, Leon Olsteen and half-sister, Edna Bray. Mrs. Anthony is survived by sons; A.Winfred (Susan) Anthony, Lyons, GA, Alvis (Kathy) Anthony, Meansville; daughters-in-law Kay Anthony, Zebulon, Jean Akins, Meansville, Karen Anthony, Thomaston; sisters Ava King, East Flat Rock, NC , Alline Parker, Thomaston. Eleven grandchildren, Twenty-three great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild also survive. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
