Mary Rogers

Mrs. Mary Gassett Rogers age 89 of 119 Avenue F, Thomaston, GA; died Friday September 3, 2010 at Upson Regional Medical Center In Thomaston. Mrs. Rogers born in Thomaston to the late James Gassett and the late Nettie Gassett. She worked for the Thomaston Mills in the Supply room early in life and was a member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her first husband, Mr. Russell Lunsford, and by her second husband Mr. Frank Rogers. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mr. Kenneth Lunsford, two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Gassett McDaniel, Mrs. Elosia Gassett Woodson, one brother, Mr. Charles Gassett. Mrs. Rogers is survived by a son, Mr. Rodney Lunsford, of Thomaston,; a grandson, Mr. Chris Lunsford of Atlanta,; a niece, Mrs Susan Woodson of Thomaston, and two step-children, Sharon Fallin and Frankie Rogers. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rogers will be held Sunday September 5, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at East Thomaston Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joey Smith officiating, interment will be be in the South View Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 6:00 til 8:00 P.M.
