Meredith Ann Butler Buffington

Mrs. Meredith 'Meribeth' Buffington, 75, of Thomaston, died Monday, August 19th, 2013 at the Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Buffington was a native of Portland Oregon but had lived in Upson County since 1972. She was a former secretary for the Collins School Kindegarten and Fellowship Baptist Church. She had also worked as a personal trainer at Curves and Bosom Buddies. She was a member of the Thurston Homemakers Club and the Red Hat Ladies. Mrs. Buffington was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church and was a member of the Women of Faith. She is survived by a daughter, Samantha B. (Chet) Jenkins of Lutz, FL; three sons, Michael Andrew (Darlene) Buffington of Thomaston, Mark James (Becky) Buffington of Yatesville, and Alan (Jandora) Yancey Buffington of Palmetto; three brothers, Cam Butler of Jasper, Craig Butler of Atlanta and Scott Butler of Carrollton; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew 'Andy' Buffington. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the burial expense account for Mrs. Buffington set up at South Crest Bank.
