Mildred Christine Ellington Salter

Mrs. Mildred Christine Ellington Salter, 81, of North Old Alabama Rd., Thomaston, died Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Salter was born on October 7th, 1931 in Upson County, a daughter of the late J. E. Ellington and Lonie Daniel Ellington. Prior to her retirement she had been a lunch room manager at Rock Hill Elementary School and later worked in the lunch room at Upson Lee South Elementary School. She attended Jeff Davis Baptist Church and also First Baptist Church. She volunteered her time with the Upson Regional Medical Center Auxilliary as a Pink Lady. She is survived by her four sons, Reggie (Marilyn) Salter of Jacksonville, FL, RIcky Salter and Rusty (Judith) Salter, both of Thomaston, and Randy (Julie) Salter of Thomasville; a brother, J. E. Ellington, Jr., of Roberta; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
