Millard Josh Cates

Mr. Millard Josh Cates, age 85, of Lithonia, died Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 11:00 a. m., in Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Lithonia with Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Mr. Cates was a native of Culloden, GA., but had lived in Lithonia for a number of years. He was a retired truck driver for Dekalb Contractors. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cates was a wonderful family man. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Sue Cates of Yatesville; a daughter, Sandra (William) Hardwick of Bainbridge; two sons, Thomas (Peggy) Cates of Newborn and Donald Lee Cates of Lithonia; two sisters, Virginia Barrett of Oxford, AL., and Ellen Cates of Monroe; a brother, John Cates of Atlanta; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, 628 North Church St., Thomaston, on Thursday from 4 until 6 pm.
