Mr. Arthur Lee Thrasher, Sr.

Mr. Arthur Lee Thrasher, Sr., 74, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Thrasher will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Upson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Baughcum officiating. The family of Mr. Thrasher will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:30 until 1:30 pm. Mr. Thrasher was born in Pike County on November 2, 1946, a son of the late Mose Lee and Estelle Fennie Fleming Thrasher. He was employed by Reddick Construction Company from 1965 until 1984, then drove a school bus for the Upson County School system for 20 years. He was also the owner and operator of the West Central Georgia Fence Company. Mr. Thrasher was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. Mr. Thrasher is survived by his daughter, Lisa Thrasher (Jay) Davison; his son, Lee "Pee Wee" Thrasher, Jr.; a sister, Ava Nell Rodgers; two brothers, Jerry (Debbie) Thrasher and Roger (Linda) Thrasher; five grandchildren, Cassidy (Dakota) Oglesby, Meghan (Micah) Lester, Logan Lee Thrasher, Lilly Thrasher and Laura Thrasher; and two great grandchildren, Carson Lester and Turner Lester. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Davis Thrasher. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
