Mr. Billy G. Owsley

Mr. Billy G. Owsley, 51, of Thomaston, died Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Owsley will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of the Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Redden and Rev. Buddy Wall officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family of Mr. Owsley will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Mr. Owsley was born in Thomaston on October 25, 1967, a son of the late Charles Owsley and Nadean Boyd Owsley. His father, Charles, served as the first emergency medical technician hired at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Owsley attended the Gilmore Center and was a member of the Twin Oaks Baptist Tabernacle. In addition to his mother Mr. Owsley is survived by his brother, Lucius Charles "Luke" Owsley, Jr., of Thomaston; his uncle, David (Shirley) Owsley of Thomaston, and his aunt, Sally Ivey of Provo, UT. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
