Mr. Billy Ray Mitchell

Mr. Billy Ray Mitchell, 69, of Thomaston, died Thursday, April 29, 2021, at his residence. His family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Mr. Mitchell was born in Crawford County on August 17, 1951, to the late Buck and Rosa Combs Mitchell Stevens. He was a 1969 graduate of Crawford County High School and was a self employed carpenter. Mr. Mitchell built many homes in Clermont, Florida. He loved to ride motorcycles and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cindi) Helton Mitchell of Thomaston; two daughters: Courtney (Brad) Smith and Tori (Doug Miller) Johnson, both of Birmingham, AL; a sister, Patsy of Roanoke, AL; a brother, Eddie, of Barnesville; and five grandchildren: Isaiah, Noah, and Hannah Smith; and Elana and Evalyn Miller.
