Mr. Bobby Mcglon

Mr. Bobby McGlon, 74, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 at his home. Funeral services for Mr. McGlon will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church. Dr. Rex King and Rev. Dwayne Joiner will officiate and burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. McGlon will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Mr. McGlon was born in Thomaston on June 10th, 1942, a son of the late Henry Clifton McGlon and Johnzaline Coates McGlon. He had been employed as a checker with Thomaston Mills and later in the payroll department of the Martha Mills Division of the B. F. Goodrich Company. Mr. McGlon had also been a cameraman with TV-10 in Thomaston and was most recently a courier for Upson Regional Medical Center. Mr. McGlon was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and had served in the church's audio-visual department for almost 30 years. Mr. McGlon is survived by his wife, Kathy McGlon; a daughter, Deneen (Klay) Kilcrease of Conyers; two sons, Joey (Susan) McGlon of Thomaston and Chris Paul (Sharon) McGlon of Auburn; a sister, Kathy (Dwayne) Joiner of Fitzgerald; a brother, Darryl (Kathy) McGlon of Powder Springs, and two grandchildren, Ashli McGlon and Athens McGlon, both of Thomaston.
