Mr. Calvin Levy Guy

Mr. Calvin Levy Guy, 81, of Woodbury, died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. Guy will be held Wednesday, September 17th, 2014 at 2 pm in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Hosmer, Rev. Scotty Fowler and Pastor Neil Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in the Neal Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Guy was born in Meriwether County, a son of the late Richard Levy Guy and Bessie Nix Guy. He was a carpenter and owner/operator of A & L Grocery. Mr. Guy had also been a stock car racer and was a member of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. He was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Guy was a member of Neal Baptist Church. He was a loving father and friend and was know to be very giving and compassionate to others. He is survived by three daughters, Sherry (John) Akins, Pam (Craig) Alverson, and Kimberly Futch, and two sons, Cal (Rhonda) Guy and Tim (Michelle) Guy, all of Molena; three sisters, Alice (Larry) Summeral of Sharpsburg, Shirley Nicholson of Upson County and Glenn (Clarence) Hatchett of Concord; two brothers, Bobby (Mary Ann) Guy of Concord and Billy (Jean) Guy ofThomaston; his best friend and companion, Jackie Storey; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Guy and a son, Geno Guy. The family of Mr. Guy will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.
