Mr. Charles Stevenson Rush

Mr. Charles Stevenson Rush, 76, of Thomaston and formerly of Milner, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Eternal Hope Hospice - Hope House, in Griffin. Mr. Rush was born in Powder Springs on April 7, 1943, a son of the late James Elbert and Georgia Ann Polston Rush. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and played football for the Corps. After his military service he was employed as a pipe fitter for the Paul W. Heard Company. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 72. Mr. Rush was an avid golfer and played often at golf courses in Pike County. Mr. Rush is survived by three daughters, Sabrina Rush of Douglasville, Shaleigh Rush of Littleton, CO, and Brandy Rush of Destin, FL; a son, Steven (Heather) Rush of Thomaston; a sister, Colleen Rush of Tenessee; a brother, Jim Rush of Cumming; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family of Mr. Rush will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
