Mr. Clarence Henry Hewett

Mr. Clarence Henry Hewett, 89, of Chamblee and formerly of Thomaston, died Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 in Woodstock. Mr. Hewett was born on February 21st, 1925, a son of the late Edward Hewett and Lottie Mae Riley Hewett. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was later employed as a millwright for General Motors for 35 years. He was also a Master Mason. Mr. Hewett was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta and had previously served as a Deacon at Donaldson Drive Baptist Church. Mr. Hewett is survived by his children, Sherri H. (Marc) Criau of Chamblee and Steve (Debbie) Hewett of Woodstock; ten grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Heaton Hewett and his second wife, Evelyn Ruby Johns Hewett. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, October 11th, 2014 at 2 pm in South View Cemetery with Rev. Tim South officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to MUST Ministries, P.O.
