Mr. David "Bryant" Starling

Mr. David 'Bryant' Starling, 83, of Griffin, GA, died Friday, September 21, 2018, at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin, GA. Funeral services for Mr. Starling will be held on Tuesday, September 25, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Lovelady officiating. Burial will follow in the Langford Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Starling was born in Thomaston, GA, on January 25, 1935, to the late Lewis Walton Starling and Mable White Starling. Following the death of his mother, he was lovingly reared by his stepmother, Martha Jimmerson Starling. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he had worked in Milledgeville and Thomaston. He had been a mechanic for the John Deere Company in Thomaston and also for Ford Tractor in Griffin. Mr. Starling served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Barnesville, GA. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Ann Marie Levis of Griffin; his son, David Starling of Mount Juliet, TN; two sisters, Mrs. June (Herman) Lisle of Griffin and Mrs. Juanita Ivey of Lilburn, GA.
