Mr. Donald L. Mckissick

Mr. Donald L. McKissick, age 79, of Thomaston, died Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Upson Regional Medical Center. The family of Mr. McKissick will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 3, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. McKissick was born September 29, 1942, in Upson County, a son of the late Leonard Lafayette McKissick and the late Alma Traylor McKissick. He was retired from the Thomaston Fire Department as a fireman. He never met a stranger and enjoyed walking. He loved his family dearly. Mr. McKissick is survived by his two daughters, Janice (J.P.) Sawyer of Concord; Deborah Weason of Thomaston; his son, Tony McKissick of Thomaston; his brother, Talmadge McKissick of Thomaston; his grandchildren, Tamara Gill, Stephen McKissick, Kyle Adams, Amanda Edmondson, Michael McKissick, and Faith Sawyer. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Annette Langley McKissick.
