Mr. Donald Leon Corley

Mr. Donald Leon Corley, 79, of Thomaston, GA, died Sunday November 12, 2017, at Baptist Health of Montgomery, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Corley will be held Thursday, November 16, at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, November 15, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Corley was born on March 18, 1938, in Upson County, to the late Wilburn Leon Corley and Cora Lee Hall Corley. He owned and operated Corley’s Garage from 1976 until 2000. Mr. Corley was a member of Calvary Lighthouse Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Corley was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Vanna Suzette Holloway, and a son-in-law, Mark Fowler. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bridges Corley; five children: Bonnie Suzette (Jim) Thomas of Jackson, GA; Donald Kevin (Cathy) Corley of Thomaston; Vicki Yvonne Fowler, of Thomaston; Marla Sherl Birdsong (Dustin Dawson) of Kewanee, IL; and Lorna Dawn (Les) Lincoln of Newport, ME; four sisters: Faith Mercer, Carol Smith, Phyllis Waldrop, and Johnnie Casey, all of Thomaston; two brothers: Phillip (Joy) Corley and Terry A. (Kerri) Corley, both of Thomaston; nine grandchildren: Josh Thomas, Shane Corley, Mandy Hill, Sasha Holley, Andrew Birdsong, Benjamin Birdsong, Jason Birdsong, Briana Ashley, and Kaylee Bostwick. Sixteen great grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements.
