Mr. Donald Webster Douglas, 90, of Thomaston, Georgia, died Friday, September 1, 2017, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Mr. Douglas will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Dr. Derrick Keeter officiating. Mr. Douglas was born on April 12, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Florence Caldwell Douglas and Webster Douglas. Mr. Douglas retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years of Honorable service. He formerly worked for Lanier Electronics. Mr. Douglas is survived by his wife, Ingeborg Schmidt Douglas of Thomaston; daughter, Barbara (Danny) Allen of Fortson, GA; sons, Johnny (Suzanne) Hogeland of Columbus, GA, and Leon Hogeland of LaGrange, GA; four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was the rock of his family. a wonderful husband, a great father, and a loving grandfather.. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of arrangements.
