Mr. Doug Aycock

Mr. Doug Aycock, age 78, of Hoschton, Ga., formerly of Thomaston, Ga, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomaston, Ga. Rev. Kenneth Aycock will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Mr. Aycock was born in Thomaston, Ga to the late E.D. Aycock and Mary Pitts Aycock. He was retired from AT&T and Western Electric with 36 years of service. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Thomaston and also attended West End Baptist in Manchester. He was a graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, class of 1961. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1965 to1971. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Kathy B. Aycock of Hoschton, Ga; daughter, Laurie Aycock (Tonia Burk) of Marietta, Ga; sons, Stephen Aycock of Shiloh, Ga. and Kenneth Aycock (Heather) of Hoschton, Ga; grandchildren, David Braden, Kendall and Connor Aycock; sister, Brenda Newman; and brothers, Alan (Sandy) and George Aycock.
