Clinton Greene, born in Clermont, Georgia on February 29, 1940, son of the late Earl and Willanelle Greene, husband of Barbara Chapman Greene, and father of Brian (Ginny Wallace) Greene, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He is also survived by sisters Elaine Greene Ferguson (Joe) of Toccoa, and Beverly Greene Wenham (Terry) of Roswell; two nieces, three nephews, and nine “greats”. Also surviving are sister-in-law Mary Lynn (Kenneth) Meeks of Cumming, and brothers-in-law Tom Chapman (Linda) and Perry Chapman (Fifi), both of Gainesville. Clinton retired from Thomaston Mills and was a past president of the National Association of Credit Managers, southeast division. He was an active member and past president of the Thomaston Lions Club and was Lion of the Year. Clinton was an active member of the Thomaston First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Searchers Sunday School Class and served on the Benevolence Committee as a past chair. He also taught Sunday School classes at Riverside Health and Rehab for over 35 years. Clinton’s family will receive friends at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home on Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later time.
