Mr. Eugene Leonard "Gene" Grosshans

Mr. Eugene Leonard "Gene" Grosshans, age 81, of Thomaston, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Grosshans will be held on Tuesday, February 7, at 11:00 AM, at Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville, GA.

Mr. Grosshans was born on January 20, 1942, in Detroit, MI, to the late Fred John Grosshans and the late Rose Clara Frank Grosshans. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army National Guard and was retired from the Teamsters Union of Michigan. He later was employed by and retired from the State of Georgia Diagnostic Center as a guard. He loved his dogs dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Grosshans was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Eloise Gulledge Grosshans. He is survived by two daughters: Laura Bowen of Woodland, MI, and Rose Noel of Vermontville, MI; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and another on the way; and his loyal companion, Jack, his dog.
