Mr. Eugene Randolph Barnes

Mr. Eugene Randolph Barnes, age 81, of Thomaston, GA, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, GA. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Barnes will be held Tuesday, October 6th, 2015 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweeden, KY, north of Brownsville. Mr. Barnes was born in Thomaston on March 2, 1934 to the late William Randolph Barnes and Mittye Crawley Barnes. He was a graduate of R. E. Lee Class of 1951. Mr. Barnes was a veteran of the the U. S. Air Force. He was retired from Fort Knox, Master Mason Washington Meredith Lodge #355 Brownsville, KY, and was a member of Sweden Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Stewart Barnes. Mr. Barnes was survived by his sister, Joyce Barnes Smith of North Augusta, SC and his brother, Charles Richard (Lacy) Barnes of Thomaston. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Fletcher-Day Funeral Home of Thomaston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
