Mr. Harold Owen Wilson

Mr. Harold Owen Wilson, age 90, of Thomaston, died Monday, December 21, 2020, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Memorial services for Mr. Wilson will be held Wednesday, December 23, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Rev. Matt Akins will officiate, and the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born October 25, 1930, in Upson County to the late Thomas Franklin Wilson and the late Cledie Mae Greathouse Wilson. He was a 1947 graduate of R.E. Lee Institute. When he joined the Masons, he was their youngest member. He owned and operated Silvertown Cleaners for over 50 years. After his retirement, he was employed with Ace Cleaners for over 10 years. Mr. Wilson was member of Rock Springs Church in Milner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kassi Wilson; his sister, Sarah Heydrick; and his brother, James Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Sylvia Burnette Wilson; a son, Ken Wilson of Thomaston; a daughter, Angie (Steve) Krueger of Dacula; and his granddaughters, Taylor Wilson and Kenley Wilson both of Thomaston. Several other grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Thomaston-Upson Humane Society.
