Mr. Pryor was born in Lamar County on April 16th, 1923, a son of the late Coggin S. Pryor and Lois Story Pryor. He had lived in Thomaston most of his life. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Pryor was employed by Thomaston Mills for 49 years 7 months and at the time of his retirement was the head inspector in the Cloth Department. He was a life-time member of the Disabled American Veterans and was also a life-time member of the Upson Historical Society. Mr. Pryor authored the 'I Remember When' articles for the Upson Historical Society. Mr. Pryor was a member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. He served on various committees within the church and was a member of the church choir. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Reeves Pryor and a sister, Louise Pryor Fallin. Mr. Pryor is survived by his daughter, Gayla (Wayne) Trice of Thomaston, a sister, Edna P. (J. D.) Dickens of Thomaston; and his granddaughter, Amy E. Trice of Washington, DC.
