Mr. Howard Lester "Mutt" Ward

Mr. Howard Lester "Mutt" Ward, 64, formerly of Yatesville, GA, died Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Azalea Manor in Marietta, GA. Memorial services for Mr. Ward will be held Saturday, December 11, at 4:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until the service hour. Mr. Ward was born May 26, 1957, in Thomaston, to the late Howard L. and Alice Funderburk Ward. He was a 1975 graduate of Yatesville High School. Mr. Ward enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons - especially coon hunting. He was a good father who taught his sons values like working and raising a family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by two brothers: Luther Ward and Robert Ward; a sister, Susan Pruett; and the mother of his children, Karen Ward. Survivors include two sons: Kenneth Ward of Yatesville and Darrell Ward of Thomaston; a sister, Rebecca Thompson of Florida; three grandchildren: Adessa Ward, Troy Peacock, and Cody Peacock, and several nieces and nephews.
