Mr. James Earl Bragg

Mr. James Earl Bragg, age 49, of Thomaston, died Monday, June 26, 2023, at Upson Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Bragg will be held on Friday, June 30, at 11:00 AM, at Mountain View Baptist Church.  Rev. Chet Yates will officiate, and interment will follow in the Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mountain View Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Mr. Bragg was born in Riverdale, GA, on September 28, 1973, to the late Rev. Ira Bragg, Jr. and the late Shirley Key Bragg. He was employed for many years by Standard Textile Company. He enjoyed motorcycles and fishing and was a hard worker.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Bragg and Robert W. Bragg. He is survived by a brother, Edward (Cherryl) Bragg of Thomaston; a sister, Lisa D. Bragg of Thomaston; his fiancé, Julie Canavan of Thomaston; a sister-in-law, Jana Bragg of Dawsonville; his ex-wife, Cyndi Bragg of Thomaston; two daughters: Beth Shepard and Katie Allen; three grandchildren: Kingston Gibson, Magnus Smith, and Luna Jackson; two nieces: Tasha Bragg (Robert) Curry and Jessica Bragg (Dustin) Violet; great nieces: Leah Curry, Lacy Curry, Zoey Violet, Paislee Violet, and Remi Violet; great nephew, Landon Curry; and his best friend, Brad (Brandy) McChargue.
