Mr. James H. Mccune

Mr. James H. McCune, 90, of Thomaston, died Monday, February 8, 2021 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mr. McCune was born on November 17, 1930 in Girard, AL, a son of the late Willie H. and Mable Cousins McCune. He had a long career in the commercial printing business and was last employed by Federal Paperboard in Thomaston. He was member of First Presbyterian Church of Thomaston. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. Mr. McCune is survived by two daughters, Christine Ellington of Saint Simons Island and Julie (Mark) Jones of Thomaston; three grandchildren, Ben (Dawn) Ellington of Williamsburg, VA, Anna (Dusty) Wilson of St. Simons Island and Ashley (Carter) Thompson of Cordele; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Moorefield McCune, his three sisters and his brother. A private graveside service will be held in Columbus at the Park Hill Cemetery on Thursday, February 11, 2021 with the Dr. Glenn Gilstrap officiating.
